Intention Fails Because of You

It’s been a while now since the word ‘intention’ really caught my attention.

A year back, intention does not sound great to me as I defined it as a pit bull kind of determination or ‘never say quit’ attitude that propels one to succeed at all costs. It’s a kind of self motivation that whenever one has set the goal with great height of determination, no one could stop him except himself or the nature.

Remembering back, the first person who made me to dig more about intention is Joe Vitale, as he mentioned a lot in his writing. Joe is a great person and I accredit him to be the one who influenced me to delve into the subject of metaphysics, which is another term that I once viewed as unscientific and ridiculous field of study. (I was totally wrong!)

What’s an intention?

Intention is a force of the universe that allows the act of creation or manifestation to take place. It’s a kind of reward for those who really mean it when they place their intention. The universe moves as your thought moves and please take note that every thought that you hold in your mind is an intention.

For example, you might have an intention to loose weight and you’ve even set it as this year resolution. To make it happens, you jog 10 miles everyday and keep a restricted diet. You feel healthier and you thought that you’ve made it but as you look at the scale, you noticed little or no difference at all.

Then, frustration begins to creep in, and this thought emerges; “Losing weight is hard and it nearly kills me just to loose some ounces.”

So what happens next?

Your have just switched your intention and the universe will begin to move and deliver it to you. What you intended earlier would be nullified.

There’s a great book written by Dr Wayne Dyer entitles, “The Power of Intention” and you will benefit a lot from reading this book. Grab it if you haven’t done so. By the way, I found this book after I placed my intention to uncover more about intention and that also happened after Dr. Joe influenced me.

To conclude, once you have placed an intention, never ever try to change it (even to hold a negative thought) unless you are sure that the earlier intention is not what you have really wanted. In term of motivation, you are just not motivated enough to keep your goal. That’s all. Different approach uses different term.

Thanks for the comment on my post about Always Start With The Intention.

The Power Of Intention by Dr. Dyer is probably one of the best books ever written and is definitely one of the books that changed my life. Keep up the great work! Let me know if there’s anything I can do to help.
